3.1C Background, Middle-ground, & Foreground

This third-grade art activity follows a discussion based on “The Gleaners” 1857 by Jean-Francois Millet. We use the terms background, middle-ground, and foreground to place objects into our composition. Artists use four things to create depth in their works of art. This activity allows art students to learn and practice those four things.
