Hello there!

I’m Josh Hendry — but around here everyone just calls me Mister Hen.

I’ve spent over twenty-five years as a full-time art teacher helping kids, parents, and fellow teachers actually enjoy drawing and creating. Art can feel a little intimidating at first (blank paper has a way of staring back at you). That’s normal. The good news? At Mister Hen’s, chickens are welcome — no experience required, and definitely no need to be perfect.

I create simple, no-prep printable art activities, foldable coloring pages, and classroom-ready resources that make art fundamentals feel fun instead of stressful. Whether you’re a teacher looking for something quick that still teaches, a parent who wants creative screen-free time, or a kid who just wants to make something cool, you’re in the right place.

My goal is straightforward: help young artists (and the grown-ups who support them) overcome that “I can’t draw” feeling and start creating with confidence.
